Habla....!

We all take access to the internet for granted and should it not work we are lost at best, distraught at worst. For over a week our internet service was intermittent, until it finally gave up all together. We rang our provider and explained the problem in English and our best Spanish. This proved to be far more frustrating than having no internet. We were told a technician could only speak Spanish, no problem we will do our best to communicate. Transferred to the technician, who told us we had to talk to an English speaking person, transferred; the English speaking person repeated what we had been told earlier, we must speak Spanish to the technician. Transferred again, the technician told us…….yes, you’ve got it. This happened for almost an hour until we eventually got someone to listen enough to help. Finally, by Friday afternoon our internet started to work again. And no, no technician came to the house, we assumed, as we always had, the problem was in their network.
On a positive note, having no distraction from Twitter and emails, I have managed to work exclusively on my book 3 and thanks to my lovely editor, it is sparkling rather nicely. Talking of my editor, Helen has begun her US Blog tour for the launch of her USA publication I Am The Chosen King. Click on the book cover to learn all about this amazing lady, her publication and her exciting tour.

I wondered why I hadn't seen so many of your lovely tweets this week. Glad you're back in touch although it does sound as if the technical bit was rather hit and miss.

Funny how you managed to get so much work done without us bothering you, isn't it. Would you rather have us or work? Now there's a question! but please don't feel obliged to answer it ;-)

Yes distractions like Twitter and Facebook do not really help getting the work done do they? I'm happily distracted by your novel though Pauline - your readers are going to be in for a such a treat!

Hello Rosalind, of course I would rather talk to you all, I missed the chatter, but as I am getting well through my edits, it was good to work on my lovely characters. They make me laugh so much! Hope the cats are settled in. Hugs x

I feel lost when our internet goes down... and it's nearly as hard getting it restored out here, believe me. Glad the edits are going well.

It's so frustrating when there is a problem with the Internet. I've had a few days away from it, but it's due to being busy rather than a connection problem.

There's an award for you over at my blog.

Hello Debs, thanks for calling by and for the award, just been over there and seen it. Congratualtions to you too! Have a great day! x

Glad to hear you found an upside to losing the internet and can't imagine how hard it is to talk to technical stuff in another language! I think it's probably all that sun that keeps you happy though, can't wait until we get a little bit of it here in The Cotswolds. Really love scribbles and glad the editing is going so well - can't wait for the new book.

Hi Shirley, it is so distrating, but I missed everyone, so I am glad to be distracted from time to time. x

Oh, tech support! I must admit, though, I'm so much more productive when my internet goes down...
