Chilling Really Is Important!

For the first time in four years, we have taken a break, not a long one, just a couple of days away, and we feel so much better!

Our two gorgeous doggies went off to a friend and they had a ball too. Walked and spoilt. So we have all benefited.

We did not travel very far, our beautiful island is where many people come for a holiday and so we decided that we too should enjoy some of the wonderful holiday pleasures on offer.

We booked ourselves in to the fabulous 4 star hotel in Puerto Calero - Iberostar - fully inclusive.

As well as the wonderful food, wine and entertainment, we spent several hours in the thermal pools: Swimming in the salty water, laying on bubble beds, standing under back pummelling jets, soaking in bubbling warm water....and so much more!

Living here in the sunshine, we forget we too need to step away from our daily life and routine and chill out.

Now back home, it is all systems go for me as my latest book, Sometimes It Happens... is due for release in the coming week. A perfect holiday read, right down to the sunshine!

Well, we had thunderstorms and rain in Gloucestershire whilst you were basking in the sun (laugh). The sun is out now though, but I have to say the scenery is lovely - but not quite as glamorous as your pics. Hope the release goes well - we're all waiting to see what you've been up to!

So glad you had a lovely time and such exciting news about your book. Don't work too hard this week or you'll lose all the benefits from your excellent weekend.

What a fabulous place to stay, I'm glad you had such a relaxing time. Grumpy goes to stay at my dad's house and has a thoroughly spoilt time, he loves every minute.

Hello Debs, we have had no one to look after the doggies, hence why we have not been away, but hopefully our friend will do it again! The pic on the Blog was sent to us on my mobile to tell me they were just fine. What a kind friend! xx

What a good idea, Pauline. When you live in a holiday destination, it's easy to forget how important it is to make a change from time to time. Will be checking out your new book soon - very best wishes for the launch. May it fly!
