This That and.....

It's been a great weekend, I've managed to do lot of jobs and still find time to chill. In fact I chilled so much yesterday I now have a red face!

Yes, I decided by mid afternoon yesterday it was time to sit out on my recliner and read my Kindle, by the way I'm reading a great book. I will tell you more when I''ve finished reading it. Surfice to say, I can't wait to switch my Kindle back on! Anyway, I digress, I was lying out in the sun, the sun had infact dipped behind some heavy clouds, but it seemed the hectic week had caught up with me and I fell asleep. Needless to say, whilst I inspected the inside of my eyelids the sun made an appearance and that is how I look a tad like a beetroot today!

Not to worry, Aloa Vera soon sorted it all out. Now whilst you are here, you might like to know that my amazing character, Peggy Stanton has the wonderful Kit Domino over on her blog. They are eating Bailey's cheesecake, drinking sherry and talking about Kit's new book, Every Step of the Way. Please pop along and join them, if only to make sure they don't drink the full bottle of Bristol Cream! http://peggystanton.blogspot.com/

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day and keep smiling, I will if you will.

Creating the Right Title!

I am slowly making progress with my book 4, though other events do get in the way and as much as I push them aside, they have a habit of nudging me and demanding my time and attention! Though when I have managed to sit down and tap away at the keyboard of my lap top, lost in the world of my imagination bringing my characters to life as together we walk down the paths of happiness, love, loss and much more, I ponder about what the title should be for this book. As yet nothing has come to mind that says what I want it to say about the three families who share the twists and turns of their lives.

I ask myself would one word say it all, like Gilli Allen has used for her novel Torn. Or maybe use three words that will evoke emotion, as Joanne Lambert has used in one of the books from her trilogy, Love, Lies & Promises. Or even make it a sentence, that inspires intrigue as in Too Much Trouble In Paradise by Michelle Betham. All of these ideas sound a possibility, but so far nothing has manifested itself as one word or one sentence!

I have written and published three books so far, the first two titles came easily, my third book title, however, took some agreeing on, but I got there in the end. I know I will get there with this one, well let’s be honest, I have to! But how do you come up with the best title for your book? Did you know the title before you begin writing or did the title spring to mind when writing?

As always thanks for stopping by, it’s great to see you and keep smiling, I will if you will!

My lovely character, Peggy Stanton is talking with the amazing Jane Leonard over at http://famousfiveplus.blogspot.com

Peggy: 'Jane makes me feel good to be old, she's full of true grit and despite the tragedies in her life, she's still a wildly old bird.'

Peggy: Hugging her guest. ‘Hello Jane, thank you for taking the time to come along and see me. Do sit down. I know it’s been a trying time for you of late. I’m talking her from experience because I know families can create mayhem and not stop to think of the consequences.’

Jane: Sitting down opposite Peggy. ‘Never a truer word said, Peggy. I only wish I could turn the clock back, but then don’t we all from time to time.’

Peggy: Reaching forward pours two cups of tea. ‘It’s a terrible business selling your house at the best of times, but after nearly five decades it must have been impossible. How on earth did you cope with all the stress?’

Jane: Sipping her tea. ‘I nearly didn’t. Have you any idea what it’s like having strangers traipsing through your house, poking their noses into your rooms, cupboards and personal effects? Not to mention all the measuring up that went on. I can tell you Peggy when that Estate Agent hammered into my lovely lawn that great big vulgar sign, For Sale; I thought it would be the end of me.’

See you over there.

Is It Really Friday 13th?

It's Friday 13th, so we are all no doubt crossing fingers, clutching our lucky charms and silently hoping the day will pass without incident, but if I'm honest, I had forgotten it was Friday 13th!

These last few days have been like a Friday13th all week here and although the problems that plummeted my spirits earlier this week have not been resolved and are unlikely to be resolved in the near future. We look to brighter days, but not without hoping that if  people realised that we all walk the road of life only once, then maybe there would be less pain, hurt and suffering. Somethings we can not change, but hurting people we can.

Having said this, I hope you are smiling. So despite it being Friday 13th, I have had two wonderful reviews for two of my books, Satchfield Hall and Sometimes It Happens...

Carol Kinsey, aka, DizzyC's Reviews gave Sometimes It Happens... 4.5 stars and this is what Carol had to say..... "I would say this is a must for your Kindle for a beach read this summer." You can read the full review by clicking Here

Sometimes It Happens... is available in Kindle from all Amazon stores

And on Twitter this morning, I saw this from Country Wives.... "Loved Satchfield Hall. Very credible characters. Gave it 5*'s for not able to put down & sorry when end came."

Satchfield Hall is available in paperback and Kindle from all Amazon stores

... Phew! A good start to a superstitious day! I hope yours is a good one too!

As always thank you for stopping by. Keep smiling, I will if you will. Sending sunny smiles!

An Interview to Make you Smile!

It's been a mixed bag of a week so far and if I'm honest, not a nice one, but one thing has made me smile and that is my wonderful Peggy Stanton. Today she is splitting herself in two!

She's over at Famous Five Plus HQ revealing the letter she has received which is dishing the dirt on her earlier guest, DS Bill Murphy.

And over in her interview studio she has the gorgeous, but devilish Dylan Scott in for a chat. Poor man! So if you could do with a smile, pop along to find out how it is all going, I promise you won't be disappointed.  http://peggystanton.blogspot.com
