Inspiration!

What inspires any of us to do the things we love and also to carry out the task we don't always want to do? Music, the weather, laughter, a child's voice or something else? What brought this question to mind was  Rosalind Adam's Blog where she talked about rainbows. The same day I read Rosalind's Blog, that morning, whilst walking the doggies, we saw two amazing rainbows in the early morning sky. These are not something we see often down here, and as the dogs tugged on their leads, we watched the rainbow spread until there was a full curve, the colours dominating the sky creating a spectacular scene. Seeing both ends of the rainbow, we searched for the pot of gold, sadly it alluded us!

For me the weather plays an important part in my inclination and inspiration to do anything, I love the warmth and the sun, the freedom to sit outside and work. And as long as the sun shines, I will be inspired to do more and more, even the things I would rather not! Maybe you will share what inspires you to achieve.

A Balancing Act!

I am sorry I've not been as chatty as normal, I love Blogging and reading the wonderful Blogs of others. However, at the moment I am trying to balance all my commitments and the editing of my 3rd book, which is taking every spare minute I have. For this book I have an amazing editor. She is a truly wonderful lady. I have learnt so much from her and because I have little confidence in my writing, Helen picks me up, dusts me down, tells me off and pushes me on.

I love the story I have written, the characters make me laugh out loud, cringe with embarrassment and shed the odd tear. Helen, a well known and respected lady, with twenty years in the publishing world, means I'm not only in good hands, but the best. I have to work hard to meet her very high standards and I do because I do not want to let her down. She has a great deal of faith both in my writing and in my book (s), she deserves my commitment.

The story so far....mmm sorry, my lips are sealed, as soon as I can, I'll share some of the characters with you. I promise, they won't let you down!
Hope to talk to again soon!
