 You can guarantee that a Pauline Barclay will be an enjoyable read, and her first foray into the world of the 'cosy mystery' is no exception. Delightful characters, an intriguing plot and a more than satisfactory ending.

  

I cannot recommend this book enough if you are looking to a bit of escapism. Its a light thoroughly enjoyable easy to read. I'm definitely looking to get more books from this author.

 

Typical Pauline Barclay writing, meaning it is an amazing book. I have read all of her books, and each one outshines the last. The interaction between the characters seems so true-to-life, and the plot is gripping. Thank you, Pauline, for another fabulous book!!

 

Serendipity is a novel that gently extricates the reader from the pandemic's clutches. It spurs your brain into low-level action as you try to outwit the PIs and solve the mysteries before they do. It reminds you that there is still beauty in nature, still loyalty and admiration among friends and from pets. There is still artistry and dance. Above all, it speaks to us about the power of young love. A gentle read for troubled times.

 

All in all, a lovely fireside read, or summer day on the beach book.
