5 STARS – Really Enjoyed this Captivating Story

It’s the 60s and three different characters have tales to be told. Shirley has marital troubles. Kathleen is too busy with family. Anne is preoccupied with her upcoming marriage. Which one cheats? Who will be betrayed? Yes, a storm is brewing and it’s hard to put the book down for a minute for wanting to know what is going to happen. Where this author shines is in her portrayal of what it is to be human. And to be human is to err. It is in her depiction of all that it is to be human, all the emotions and reactions, that the story rings authentic and in its authenticity it’s a hard-to-put-down page turner. This isn’t my first by this author and it certainly won’t be my last. She’s an engaging storyteller who brings the characters to life as well as the 60s and deserves praise for this well-written saga of intertwining lives. Now onto my next Barclay book.

Above is a beautiful review posted on Amazon com 17th December 2021 for Storm Clouds Gathering. A book that was published a few years ago and still brings tears to my eyes when I read what readers thing about this emotional story.
