Of late I’ve not just been
pounding the keyboard on my latest WIP, but the streets as well! I’ve now
managed to run 10km and recently I decided to run a 10km run for Cancer
Research UK – Run for Life.
I’ve seen that events for Run
For Life are taking place all over the UK, but as I don’t live there, I decided
to do one of my own here on the island! I know it is hot here now, but ignoring
the heat I invited my two wonderful running friends, Sabrina and Susan and
although are abilities and ages differ (mid-thirties, mid-fifties and early
sixties) we hit the pavements running on Saturday 20th June and completed our
10km charity run. And to add more
excitement to this our Just Giving Page totaled £504.40!
I cannot express a bigger or louder thank you to
everyone who has supported us. We are honoured and humbled at everyone’s
generosity. Sadly, this dreadful disease has a nasty habit of affecting
everyone in one way or another. So if putting on our trainers and legging it
will help make a difference, then we’ll do it all over again J
For everyone who kindly donated
you will find a message on our Just Giving Page to say MASSIVE thanks. Here is the

As for continuing my running,
the answer is yes! I’m now training for a half marathon, 21km and who knows one
day I just might make the full marathon. You have to set the bar as high as
possible sometimes and I promise to let you know how it all goes and of course an
update on my latest WIP. That too is like running marathon at times, but I’m
working away at it and already have a working title - A Sense of Shame. I'll give you an update on this very soon too!
That’s it from me for now. Have
a fabby day and I hope the sun is shining in the sky and in your heart.
Pauline x
