Hello and I hope you are having a great summer!
It is August and whilst we British have a tendency to twitter on about the weather, I think this year we've had good cause to do so!
I look back to my childhood and I am convinced the summer's were warm, sunny with endless hours of daylight. We got up in the daylight and went to bed in the daylight! The winters were dark, cold and often with snow that reached up to your knees. My feet were always cold in my wellies! I never remember it raining that much, but it must have. I was brought up in Yorkshire and it did snow... at times! What do you remember of your childhood seasons?

I saw this beauty in our garden and couldn't resist taking a photo

I wrote, The Stove for an anthology I was invited to join, sadly my short story was too long - 11,700 words. At the time of being asked the word count was said to be between 2k - 12k! Rejected for being too long it was also suggested that I continuing writing this saga and make it into a novella or book. I am unsure, but your thoughts are most welcome. So having written this warm feel good story, I wanted to share it with you.
If your family or friends would like a copy, they too can as long they are happy to agree to sign up to my newsletter.
With regard to my newsletter, I want to reassure you that you can unsubscribe at any time. Also I will NEVER use your email other than if I need to email you. I will never share with anyone else.
As to the content, it is designed to be fun with me sharing: my photos, snippets of information, offers or free books from award winning authors, a design or two I have created using my Photoshop and anything else that I think might interest you. It is not about my opinion on any matter. I want my newsletter to make you smile and leave you with a warm feeling.
At last I can tell you, I have been working on book 3 in my Gardner & Chattaway cosy mystery. I had to leave it for a while due to family issues, but I am back and the plot thickens!
